Kids WayBefore & After School Program, located at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary School

Kids Way Before & After School Program is located at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary School, utilizing the stage/classroom, gymnasium, and outdoor playground. Activities would include arts & crafts, LEGOS, Magnatiles, cars, dolls, board games, and much more. We have indoor PE in the mornings where kids can play basketball, four square, and free choice. After School, kids have an hour of outside recess, where they can run, jump, and climb. Kids Way outdoor recess includes the climber, tetherball, and the covered play area during rainy weather. Kids Way School Age Programs (K through 5th Grade) are adjusted for early release, non-school days, and school breaks.

Hello,

My name is Ms.Arlene.

I joined Kids Way in 2016 as the On-Site Coordinator/Director of Kids Way's school-age programs. I was the Director of a hospital-operated child care for ten years, the Owner/Director of my own child care and preschool for 22 years, and I've been a Director at Kids Way for the last six years. I hold an Infant & Toddler Special Certificate, a High Distinction Early Childhood Certificate, a High Distinction Early Childhood Administration Certificate, a Certification in After School Programs, and an AA Degree in Tech. Arts and Arts and Science, both of High Distinction. I love the joy-filled laughter of children and their delight in adventure and learning new things. I enjoy reading, growing and canning my own food, baking bread for the local food bank, salmon fishing, shrimping, and razor clam digging. I love the beach and long walks with my dog, Gunnar.
